Nice one... I did something like this in 1991 when i was 9... although we did ours in hand and it had pencil drawn "screen shots"... :)

Love the simplicity of the reviews and how they just focus on gameplay elements and the last sentence or two just gives a quick opinion on graphics and sound which get so much attention these days!

I'm tempted to try and right some reviews in such a manner and see how they turn out :-)

Makes me want to go and find my old issues of CVG, Mean Machines and C64 :-)

Wow, that was a great piece of work there. Back when I was that age I would have been doing the same thing, but to a smaller audience (just me), but no computer was a problem. I now do own "BC's Quest For Tires", and that was as great review for the age of the writer.

Dude, that was amazing. That age is simply much more creative than I think anyone wants to recognize. I know I had written a school newspaper (there was none at the time) of at least 5 (text and images) pages for at least 6 issues using Print Shop (or perhaps Aldus Pagemaker? I don't remember, as this would have been around 1988 or so for me, when I was about 11, or 12 or so...) Anyway, yeah, awesome, and for the age, pretty decent reviews, especially considering there wasn't much reference for game reviews back then!

Thanks for posting this bit of nostalgia for old publishing as well as for old-school game enthusiasm. :)
